Demographic Dividend Transformation,Digital Economy Development and Technological Innovation Level:Empirical Evidence Based on Cities and Enterprises in Anhui Province
As Anhui Province shifts from a demographic dividend to an innovation-driven model, the impact of the digital economy on technological innovation in Anhui Province is analyzed and tested from both macro and micro perspectives.Firstly,a two-way fixed-effect panel model constructed at the city level shows that the development of the digital economy has improved the level of urban innovation in Anhui Province, the staggered DID model constructed by treating the"Broadband China"pilot project as a quasi-natural experiment also confirms the robustness of the conclusion. However, the mechanism mainly relies on economic agglomeration and the allocation of innovation resources, and the role of human capital is not obvious. Then, the evidence at the enterprise level shows that the digital transformation of enterprises mainly promotes innovation by alleviating financing constraints, while the mechanisms of improving operational management efficiency and optimizing human capital are not significant.Secondly, further research finds that there is a problem of high quantity and low quality in the innovation effect of the digital economy. Finally, based on the conclusion, policy for digital empowerment technology innovation in Anhui Province are proposed.
