Based on the super-efficiency SBM model and Malmquist index model,panel data of applied higher education in Anhui Province from 2018-2022 are used to analyze the development efficiency of applied higher education in Anhui Province and its inter-period changes.It is found that overall the development efficiency of applied higher education in Anhui Province shows a fluctuating downward trend during the study period,but its average value reaches the effective level;the total factor productivity change index and the technical progress index of the development efficiency of applied higher education in Anhui Province both increase slowly during the study period,and only the technical efficiency index decreases slowly.Based on the above findings,it is a necessity to realize the effective development of applied higher education in Anhui Province,and it is necessary to promote the implementation of the development of applied higher education in Anhui Province from the four aspects of weak colleges and universities,scientific research inputs,faculty construction and specialty setting.
