In order to further explore the expression forms of artistic design of the revolutionary culture of Dabie Mountain and give full play to the social role of artistic design works,this paper takes red-themed illustration as an example and explores the practical approach of red-themed illustration design in Dabie Mountain from the aspects of content selection of red illustration subject matter,extraction of red elements,composition rules and the composition of points,lines and surfaces.It also explains the development direction of the red theme illustration of Dabie Mountain in the new era,which is of great significance to the development of the revolutionary cultural theme art design of Dabie Mountain in the context of the new era.
