Pattern decoration is an important component of China's traditional clothing culture, and the aesthetic of clothing pattern decoration has also evolved with the development of social ethics in each era.The Shang and Zhou dynasties were the beginning of Chinese civilization.Due to limited productivity and insufficient understanding of nature, the early people developed a social and ethical order centered around"worshipping gods and ghosts".Their clothing patterns and decorations were mainly geometric, plant, and mythical animal shapes;By the Western Zhou Dynasty, with the establishment of a social order of"eliminating witchcraft"and emphasizing"ritual",clothing patterns further clarified the order of identity hierarchy and moral and ethical requirements;During the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,"rites collapsed and music deteriorated",and various feudal lords competed.Clothing patterns frequently violated the constraints of"rites"and regional decorative features broke through, presenting a trend of"a hundred flowers blooming".
