Safeguard Measures and Practical Paths for the Talent Strengthening Strategy of Application Oriented Universities and Colleges in the New Era
The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)put education,science and technology,and talent into an integrated plan for the first time and made it clear that by 2035,China will become a strong country in education,science and technology,and talent.In the future period,China will face with more intense talent competition,more urgent talent demand,and more prominent con-tradictions and issues,application oriented undergraduate universities should highlight the"application-o-riented"approach in implementing the talent strengthening strategy.Applied undergraduate universities should focus on their educational positioning,highlight the forefront of disciplines,lead the innovative de-velopment of talents,focus on industrial upgrading,promote the integrated development of talents,ex-pand training paths,and encourage individual development of talents.Applied undergraduate universities should seek a distinctive path for talent development,form differentiated competitive advantages,and suc-cessfully"emerging"from the fierce competition for talent.
