The development of new-form materials for college English teaching that deeply integrate information technology and meet the learning needs of the Internet era is a prime requirement of the education digitalization strategy.This paper defines the connotations of new-form materials for college English teaching by refining their essential attributes,discusses the basic principles of their development,and further analyzes their core features,with a view to providing useful reference for the development,research and evaluation of new-form materials for college English teaching.
