Research-based teaching serves as an effective way for foreign language majors to meet the challenges posed by digital technology and to promote the humanistic teaching reform.Research-based teaching can be understood primarily in three aspects.Research-integrated teaching may reshape the traditional paradigms of teaching and learning,and organically integrate the thinking training and habit cultivation with the characteristics of"research"into classroom teaching,such as close reading,summarizing,making associations,extracting key information,pooling ideas,and exercising judgment.Research-conscious learning fosters students'capability of sustainable growth.Research-oriented teaching supports teachers in becoming expert teachers.The three dimensions merge with each other and produce synergies,which will hence enhance the effectiveness of foreign language education,and boost the core competitiveness of foreign language talents.
