Based on the recruitment information of 125 important international organizations(IOs),this study analyzes the talent requirements of IOs in terms of education background, work experience, and competency in the context of global governance. It is found that high degree holders,in particular PhD holders, are preferred;work experience is essential for most positions, and is often related to the ranks of employees;most positions require professional knowledge and basic computer skills, and multilingual applicants are more competitive;implicit competencies of communication, management and teamwork ability are highlighted, and positive and flexible personalities are desirable.Accordingly, universities in China should develop programs at all levels, encourage in-depth collaborations among foreign language majors and relevant majors, assemble both internal and external educational resources, and provide opportunities for students to get internship and accumulate work experience,so as to cultivate high-end IOs talents with required language skills, professional knowledge and implicit competencies.
