This study proposes a writing course model of ideological and political education through"telling China's stories well"for foreign language majors.The model includes a three-in-one teaching goal,an implementation route of"two supports,three ideologies and one path",and diversified,process-oriented and value-added assessment,so that it can deeply explore the ideological and political elements in writing courses,and combine value shaping,knowledge imparting and ability training.Taking a writing course for first-year English undergraduates at a certain university as an example,the study then illustrates the application of the model and the ensuing effects.It is expected to provide insights into better understanding the connotation and scientifically designing the teaching content of ideological and political education in foreign language courses.
