Based on Tsinghua University's global competence model,this study establishes a conceptual framework that integrates the cultivation of global competence into graduate English teaching.The framework embodies the intrinsic logical connections among language,critical thinking,and ideological and political education from the perspective of global competence.Employing an educational action research approach,the study then explores the effectiveness of the proposed framework and its teaching implications.The findings indicate that the framework is conducive to the development of students'global competence at the cognitive,interpersonal,and intrapersonal levels.The conceptual framework and teaching strategies discussed provide theoretical and pedagogical insights into cultivating global competence through graduate English courses and beyond.
