摘要
本文立足时代背景和需求,采用文献研究、专家访谈以及较大规模问卷调研的方法,提取中译外译者能力模型包含的28项要素,并运用聚类、t检验和结构方程建模等方法,确定能力模型的七类属、三层级结构,以及类属间的动态影响路径.具体而言,28项要素被聚类为策略能力、符号能力、国际传播能力、翻译技术能力、跨文化能力、言外知识和职业素养.其中,符号能力和策略能力为核心层,跨文化能力、翻译技术能力及言外知识为重要层,国际传播能力和职业素养为支持层,所有能力类属均直接或间接通过符号能力,最终影响译者总体能力.
Abstract
To develop a comprehensive competence model for Chinese-to-foreign language translators based on the background and needs of the new era,this study employs a muhifaceted approach,including an extensive literature review,expert interviews,and a robust questionnaire survey,to identity the 28 components of competence.Additionally,analytical techniques such as clustering,t-tests,and structural equation modelling are harnessed to organise these components into seven categories and three layers,and to further reveal the dynamic influence paths among the categories.Specifically,the 28 components were clustered into seven categories:strategic,semiotic,intemational communication,technical,cross-cultural,and extralinguistic sub-competencies,and professionalism.Among these categories,the first two sub-competencies form the core layer of competence,while cross-cultural,technical,and extralinguistic sub-competencies constitute an important secondary layer.International communication sub-competence and professionalism are situated in a third supporting layer.All the sub-competencies,either directly or indirectly,influence the overall competence of translators,with semiotic sub-competence playing a central and connecting role.
