On the application of metaphorical verbs in Chinese-English literature translation
Metaphorical verbs with an inanimate subject contain features such as simulation of liquids,simulation of objects,and simulation of people or personification.Their rhetorical effectiveness is particularly evident,making the expressions more vivid and impressive.We shall focus on metaphorical verbs in Chinese-English literature translation to observe the translators'strategies,analyse the semantic orientation of metaphorical verbs,and obtain the rationality and authority of the metaphorical verbs in C-E literature translation through the relevant data of the English Masterpiece Corpus and other original English corpora,including COCA,COHA,iWeb,and Google Books.
