The aim of this study was to investigate the wild community of Lithocarpus litseifolius in Jianning County,Fujian Province,China,to provide a theoretical basis for artificial domestication and cultivation. The distribution of wild resources was investigated by combining field surveys, visits, and statistical analysis. The results showed that Jianning County is rich in resources and that there was a wide variety of associated plants. The main and dominant species were Lauraceae,Cupressaceae, and Fagaceae, with 30 species in 27 genera, and the associated plants comprised 65 genera and 69 species.L.litseifolius was located near water sources, such as streams. However, its community distribution was relatively scattered and unable to form the dominant species. The roadside farmland was seriously damaged by deforestation. The selected plots were representative of the basic characteristics of the wild community of L.litseifolius in Jianning County. On this basis, reasonable suggestions have been put forward regarding species protection and ecological maintenance to provide a scientific basis for promoting sustainable development of the wild community of L.litseifolius.
