As an egg parasitoid,Telenomus remus Nixon plays an important role in the biological control of Spodoptera frugiperda.Elucidating the effects of temperature and nutrition on the adult lifespan and reproductive habits of T.remus is essential for the biological control of S.frugiperda.Three temperature conditions(4,10 and 26℃)and six nutrient conditions(10%,20%,and 40%sucrose water and 10%,20%,and 40%honey water)were set up in this study. The lifespan, survival rate, oviposition behavior, fecundity, offspring eclosion rate, and offspring female ratio under the different treatments were studied in adult female T.remus.A cold storage temperature of 4℃was determined to be the best, followed by 10℃;40%sucrose water was the best nutritional condition, followed by 20%sucrose water.Upon being refrigerated at 4 and 10℃and fed with 20%or 40%sucrose solution, respectively, after 1,3,5,and 10 d,the oviposition times of the two groups were mostly not significantly different from that of the control group, but the fecundities were significantly lower than that of the control group. The emergence rate and female ratio of offspring demonstrated a decreasing trend with the increase in the number of days spent in the fridge.
