Andraca bipunctata is one of the main leaf-eating pests of Camellia oleifera, and it is widely distributed in Fujian Province,China. In this study, biocontrol experiments were conducted against A.bipunctata larvae using a spore suspension and powder of Beauveria bassiana in a C.oleifera forest of Shanghang County. The results showed that the mortality rate of the larvae increased over time when the pests were treated with a concentration series of 1.0×105,1.0×106,1.0×107,1.0×108,and 1.0×109 fungal conidia·mL-1.After 9 days of spraying the spore suspension, mortality rates of the larvae at concentrations of 1.0×107,1.0×108,and 1.0×109 conidia·mL-1 were 81.6%,84.6%,and 85.9%,respectively;the corrected mortality rates were 79.9%,83.1%,and 84.5%,respectively.The average mortality rate of the larvae was 73.7%after 9 days of treatment with the powder of B.bassiana conidia at 7.5 kg·hm-2.These findings provide a scientific reference for the control of A.bipunctata larvae by B.bassiana.
