Here,the following five newly recorded Lymantriidae species collected from the Linzhi region of Xizang have been described:Orgyia tuberculata Chao,1993;Himala argentea(Walker,1855);Calliteara taiwana(Wileman,1910);Calliteara taiwana aurifera(Scriba,1919);and Artaxa digramma Boisduval,1844.The adult and genital characteristics of the newly recorded species have been described in detail,with pictures of the main habitats,adult dorsal views,and related genitals.Information on the host plants and their distribution in China and abroad is also provided.The specimens have been preserved at the Institute of Plateau Ecology,Xizang Agricultural and Animal Husbandry University,China.The discovery and description of the newly recorded species in Xizang have enriched the diversity data of Lymantriidae insects and provided scientific and technological support for the effective use and protection of insect resources and precise prevention and control of leaf-eating pests of Lymantriidae.
