少数民族史诗中专有名词英译研究

摘要
中国是一个统一的多民族国家,少数民族文学是中华民族文化的有机组成部分,也是人类珍贵的文化遗产.我国少数民族三大英雄史诗之一的《玛纳斯》包含大量承载中华传统文化的专有名词.本文通过对《玛纳斯》艾什玛特演唱本中马匹专有名词翻译方法的分析和研究,认为中华史诗典籍英译既要实现语言层面的传递,也要实现文化层面的交流.本研究对于进一步推动中华文化"走出去"以及构建中国对外文学话语体系有一定启示意义.
Abstract
China is a unified multi-ethnic country,and the literature of ethnic minorities is an organic component of Chinese culture and a precious cultural heritage of humanity.Manas is a masterpiece which contains a large number of proper nouns carrying tra-ditional Chinese culture.This paper analyzes the translation of the proper nouns"horse"in the Manas sung by Eshmat Manbetjusup.It is believed that on the translation of the proper nouns in Chinese epics,literal translation and transliteration are the main methods,with the combination of thick translation and supplemented by free translation.This method can also be ap-plied to the translation of other types of proper nouns in the Chinese epics.The translation of Chinese epics should achieve the purpose of both linguistic and cultural communication.The study is of significance for further carrying forward"Introducing the Chinese Culture Abroad",and constructing China's international discourse on literature.
