Breakthrough and Upgrading of Foreign Language Talent Cultivation Amidst the Impact of AIGC Technology
The rapid development of AIGC(artificial intelligence generated content)technology,epitomized by ChatGPT,has led to a new wave of AI revolution,concurrently propelling the education sector into uncharted territory.This paper aims to explore inno-vative strategies and pathways to address the predicament in foreign language discipline development and talent cultivation in the AI era.Drawing upon technological social constructionism and theories of human-machine collaborative education,the paper elu-cidates how Al empowerment can facilitate the breakthrough and advancement in foreign language talent cultivation in the era of AI and in the context of"New Liberal Arts".The paper proposes new approaches to cultivating foreign language talents in the AI era,which involve expanding the avenues for character education,developing a diverse curriculum system,innovating interdisci-plinary course modules,restructuring the learning environment,establishing collaborative human-machine educational models,and adopting intelligent assessment methods.These approaches aim to nurture versatile foreign language talents with interdiscipli-nary knowledge,cross-domain skills,and a deep understanding of AI.The paper advocates that foreign language education should take a proactive approach to shift from an industrialized model to an intelligent model,uphold the fundamental mission of character education while adjusting the focus and methods of talent cultivation,thus establishing a new educational ecosystem characterized by tripartite synergy among educators,AI technologies and learners.
