The Theoretical and Methodological Value of Cognitive-discourse Paradigm
The famous Russian linguist E.S.Kubryakova proposed the Cognitive-discourse Paradigm(CDP)based on the theories of Soviet Russian psycholinguistics, nominology and semantics, and the integration of western cognitive linguistic theories, which is used for parts of speech research of Russian. It shows characteristics of Russian linguistic research, and has important theoretical and applied value. At present, the introduction and research of CDP is still in the initial stage. The Chinese scholars have not fully introduced the CDP,lack the understanding of the connotation and analysis methods of CDP,fail to carry out research on this latest achievement of Russian cognitive linguistics, and have not yet recognized its theoretical and methodological value. The CDP holds that linguistic phenomena should be analyzed from the two dimensions of cognition and discourse, and the theoretical basis behind linguistic phenomena should be explored from the mapping relationship between the two. This paper attempts to deeply explain the connotation and theoretical value of CDP,to reveal its methodological value in the empirical analysis of linguis-tic phenomena, and to explore the localization path of CDP,hoping to provide some reference for research on other languages,es-pecially Chinese parts of speech research.
