Interrelationships Between Foreign Language Learning and Teaching Materials and Other Dimensions of Foreign Language Education Studies:A Sociomaterialism Perspective
Informed by a sociomaterialism perspective,this study redefines foreign language learning and teaching materials(FLLTM)and explores their relationships with other dimensions within the discipline of foreign language education studies(FLES),mainly covering six aspects:(1)FLLTM and foreign language(FL)education policies;(2)FLLTM and FL teacher development;(3)FLLTM and FL teaching and learning;(4)FLLTM and FL curriculum;(5)FLLTM and educational technology;(6)FLLTM and FL assessment.Accurate and in-depth understanding of the connotation of FLLTM and their entanglements and intra-actions with other dimensions of FLES is of great significance for dialectically evaluating the uniqueness and interconnectedness of FLLTM in foreign language education.This provides important insights and references for strengthening the development,use,and re-search of FLLTM under the macro perspective of FLES.
