The object of this paper is the colloquial construction youde VP.Firstly,through the description and analysis of its compo-nents,this paper identifies youde VP as a construct,which contains"subjective large-quantity"meaning.Then the paper illus-trates the subjectivity of youde VP from the epistemic modality of the speaker and the speaker's affect,and next the paper depicts the irrealis of youde VP from the simple future tense,propositional inference,conditionity,and the counterfactual description.Finally we analyze emergence of construction meaning of motivation and mechanism.
