Self-Assembly of Layered ABC Star Triblock Copolymers and Nanoparticles
The collaborative self-assembly of layered ABC star triblock copolymers and nanoparticles was investigated by dissipative particle dynamics(DPD)simulation. The aggregation behavior of nanoparticles at different particle densities and its effect on the layered structure were mainly considered. When the nanoparticle density was low, nanoparticles gathered in the vesicular form. When the nanoparticle density was high, nanoparticles formed the columnar structure. The dynamic process was analyzed by the energy of the system and the gyration radius of the copolymer chain.By calculating the interfacial tension, the mechanical properties of the microstructures in the system were investigated. These findings help us better understand the complex block copolymers, provide ideas for exploring the microstructures of block copolymers and nanoparticles, and help us study the potential application of block copolymer nanocomposites.
