School Song Culture:Starting from the Four School Songs of Xidian University
School song culture is an important component of university culture.To some extent,it reflects the educational philosophy and value pursuit of the university and is a bond between alumni and their alma mater for emotional attachment.Xidian University has four school songs in its educational history and they were born in the Central Soviet Area in Jiangxi province,the revolutionary and holy land in Yan'an,the famous town in Zhangjiakou outside the Great Wall and the ancient city in Xi'an,respectively.These four school songs reflect the consistent educational philosophy and patriotism for the country and the people in the history of Xidian University over the past more than 90 years.This paper introduces the creation backgrounds and historical significances of the four school songs,as well as the wonderful stories of lyric and music authors who have a deep connection with Xidian University.
