A study on the phenomenon of"chinese culture aphasia"in english teaching
Since the proposal of the"a country with a strong socialist culture"development strategy in the new era of China,the country has consistently placed cultural construction in a prominent position.The dissemination of Chinese culture abroad relies heavily on the support of English teaching.As students constitute the primary force in English education,they should attach importance to the cultivation of their cultural dissemination abilities.However,the long-term focus on English culture learning has resulted in students'inability to effectively express Chinese culture in English,leading to what is termed as"Chinese cultural aphasia".This article analyzes and explores the problem of cultural aphasia in English education while proposing corresponding strategies to foster students'correct awareness of intercultural communication,thereby inheriting and promoting the outstanding traditional culture of the Chinese nation.
