Potential and Development Paths of Rural Revitalization in Qinling-Daba Mountains,China Under Different Terrain Gradients
China's mountainous and hilly areas are relatively isolated spatially, and rural development is hampered.Study on potential of rural revitalization and development paths under different terrain gradients can provide a theoretical and scientific basis for promoting rural revitalization in mountainous areas according to local conditions.Based on topographic differences, the typical villages in Qinling-Daba mountains of the southern Shaanxi was conducted to construct an evaluation index system for measuring potential of rural revitalization, and combined with correlation and obstacle model to identify obstacles to rural revitalization under different topographic gradients, and the suggestions for differentiated development were put forward. The results show that ① the values of comprehensive potential for rural revitalization under each topographic gradient in descending order are low topographic gradient,medium-low topographic gradient, high topographic gradient,medium-high topographic gradient;the topographic location index is significantly negatively correlated with the comprehensive potential for rural revitalization and the potential for location conditions, infrastructure and habitat Qinling-Daba mountains.② With the rise of the topographic gradient, the potential of rural subjects, industrial development, human habitat, location conditions, and infrastructure in Qinling-Daba mountains shows a decreasing trend as a whole, and the potential of resource endowment decreases first and then increases.③ There are obvious differences in the potential size of each dimension and its obstacles to rural revitalization in Qinling-Daba mountains under different topographic gradients. In order to optimize the development model of mountain villages and comprehensively promote rural revitalization,it is recommended that villages with low terrain gradients should focus on preventing the loss of agricultural factors of production, villages with medium-low terrain gradients should optimize the staffing structure of grass-roots organizations, villages with medium-high terrain gradients should strengthen the construction of infrastructure and improve the human habitat, and villages with high terrain gradients should make full use of forest resources to develop special industries.
