Geochemical Characteristics of Light Hydrocarbon of Shale Oil in Upper Submember of the Fourth Member of Shahejie Formation,Dongying Sag,China
Shale oil is an important strategic replacement resource for conventional oil and gas.In recent years, many shale oil wells in Boxing and Niuzhuang depressions of Dongying sag have made breakthroughs in the upper submember of the fourth member of Shahejie Formation. The geochemical characteristics of light hydrocarbons were studied, and the application of light hydrocarbons in the study of shale oil was explored. The light hydrocarbons in three shale oil samples of the upper submember 3 of the fourth member of Shahejie Formation in Niuzhuang depression and the upper submembers 3 and 2 of the fourth member of Shahejie Formation in Boxing depression were studied by whole petroleum chromatography. The results show that① the light hydrocarbon alteration parameters show that the three submembers of crude oil is not affected by obvious secondary alteration, and the geochemical information of the light parameter reaction is effective;② the light hydrocarbon parameter(MCH-1)indicates that the parent material type of shale oil is lacustrine sapropelic type, but the compositions of light hydrocarbon C6 and C7 indicate that the parent material source of shale oil in Niuzhuang and Boxing depressions is different;③ due to the low content of vitrinite in the study area,it is difficult to determine the reflectance of vitrinite;the reflectance of equivalent vitrinite is between 0.71%and 0.90%according to the empirical formula of light hydrocarbon, which indicates that the crude oil of the three submembers belongs to the medium mature crude oil,and the parameters of heptane light hydrocarbon indicate that the maturity of Boxing depression is slightly higher.
