Energy Consumption of Asphalt Heating and Storage in Mixing Plants based on Temperature Measurement
Taking an asphalt mixing plant in actual operation as the research object, this paper proposes a model of energy consumption in the asphalt heating and storage process in the mixing plant based on the actual temperature measurement.According to the production characteristics of the mixing plant, the asphalt heating and storage process is divided into four stages:heat transfer oil heating, asphalt heating, asphalt insulation use,and mixing plant shutdown. For each stage energy consumption calculation models based on measured temperature and the heat transfer theory are established separately.Based on the energy consumption calculation models and the measured temperature data, the total energy consumption in the asphalt heating and storage process is calculated. The results show that under continuous construction conditions, the total energy consumption of a single tank of 50 t base asphalt and a single tank of 50 t modified asphalt during the entire heating, storage and production process is 6 682.08 MJ and 6 290.88 MJ respectively.A comparison with the actual consumption of asphalt heating in the mixing plant verifies that the fuel energy consumption error is from 5.79%to 22.60%.This conclusion can provide theoretical reference for the study of energy consumption in the asphalt heating and storage process of mixing plants.
