In order to evaluate the core competency of pilots, improve flight training and reduce the incidence of aircrew accidents,an improved GRA-TOPSIS method is proposed to evaluate the core competency level of pilots.Firstly, nine core competency assessment indicators are determined through CBTA system and EBT manual. Then, senior pilots and instructors are surveyed by ques-tionnaires and expert interviews, and reliability, validity and independent sample tests are conduc-ted on the obtained results, and 33 core competency indicators are finally determined.Secondly, the relative entropy knot method and entropy weight method of group decision are used to deter-mine the weight of the index system, and the GRA-TOPSIS algorithm is improved to evaluate the pilot core competency in the form of relative proximity degree. Finally, the core competency of 5 pilots and co-pilots of A330 is evaluated comprehensively, and the differences of the core compe-tency of each pilot were represented by radar map algorithm. The results show that the improved evaluation method can objectively reflect the weight value, effectively evaluate the core competen-cy of pilots, and effectively identify the competency deviation of each pilot.
