As a common phenomenon among English learners in the process of writing,Chinglish has a great impact on the correct and clear expression of meanings.This paper collects compositions from an English writing competition as research samples,analyzes Chinglish expressions in the samples in terms of vocabulary,syntax,and context through the discourse analysis method,finds out the reasons for the phenomenon from the perspectives of interlanguage fossilization,genetic epistemology,and cultural differences,and finally proposes learning strategies such as increasing source language input,making English-Chinese language comparison,and learning more about English culture so as to reduce Chinglish expressions in students'English writing and effectively improve their English writing skills.
