Because of the difficulty of the complicated geological body modeling, an effective modeling method was put forward. The method is based on the drilling synthetic plot for the original data, it uses SURPAC software to generate the rock contour at first, and then uses CAD and ARCGIS software to generate the coordinates of the grid points, then builds up the solid model by ANSYS and establishes the finite element model through meshing. The computational model was generated by the use of interface program at last. In the end, the 3D numerical model of TIAN ZHU coal mine of YAO JIE Coal Electricity Group Limited Company of GAN SU was developed and the case study shows the utility and efficiency of the method.
