An Exploration and Practice on Innovative Teaching for History Majors
With the rapid development of national social-economic and modem information technology,the country urgently needs applied talents with professional knowledge reserves,strong practical abilities,and innovative consciousness.To stimulate students'interest in professional learning and cultivate their innovative,practical,and comprehensive abilities,the teaching of history courses in Chinese universities needs to adopt a multidimensional innovative teaching model:encourage teachers to change traditional teaching concepts,using modern information technology and resources to assist teaching,such as making use of various forms of media such as images,audio,and video to present historical figures,historical events and concepts;to improve the curriculum system,in addition to discussing the rise and fall of major powers in history and the modernization and integration process of the world,the curriculum system should focus on the history and culture of"the Third World",and add courses on historical literature network resources and historical theory methods;at the same time,actively innovate teaching models and methods,utilizing various teaching organizational forms such as seminar,experiential,and practical,through practical activities such as"class teaching,group discussions",historical scenario demonstrations,and documentary production,to stimulate students'learning interest,improve classroom interaction effects,enhance students'learning initiative and creativity,and enhance their practical abilities.These new paths of teaching reform have achieved significant results in practice,improving the level of educational informatization,not only enabling students to master knowledge,but also improving teaching quality and comprehensive literacy of students.
