Earthquake as a kind of highly destructive natural disaster,because it is different from flood and drought,which has brought serious disasters to the country and society.When the earthquake comes,the social relief and response cannot be separated from the macro guidance at the national level,and the government,as the main executive agency of the country,plays an important role and task in the post-disaster relief and response work,and its effective response is directly related to people's life safety and social stability.From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,earthquake damage occurred frequently in Shaanxi Province.The government established a relatively complete response system to deal with the earthquake.The government responded from the five aspects of disaster relief and repair,relief allocation and food relief,corvee and tax relief,granary building and price control.These measures had a positive effect on earthquake prevention and disaster relief in Shaanxi Province.
