Improving the population's reproductive intention is a realistic and urgent problem that China's population development is confronted.Based on the leisure theory and demographic theory,this study analyzes the influence mechanism of outdoor leisure activities on people's reproductive intention from their preconditions and intrinsic value of outdoor leisure activities,and empirically analyzes the relationship between outdoor leisure activities and residents'willingness to reproduce by using data from the Chinese General Social Survey(CGSS2021).According to the findings,outdoor leisure activities will promote residents'reproductive intention,and the results remain sound after controlling for endogenous factors.Mechanism studies show that outdoor leisure activities affect reproductive intention through health effects and harmony effects.The research results provide decision-making basis for optimizing Chinese's fertility support policies.
