The book Modelling Interactivity of Teacher Discourse in EFL Classrooms:A Systemic-Functional Perspective authored by Xueyan Yang was published by Fudan University Press in October 2023.This book innovatively integrates the research par-adigms and approaches of Systemic Functional Linguistics and Applied Linguistics,incorporating the views of the researcher,teachers,and students.Based on an in-depth and systematic investigation into the interactivity of teacher discourse in EFL classrooms,the book offers both substantial theoretical underpinnings and specific pedagogical implications for enhancing Chi-nese EFL teachers'classroom interaction skills.The present article introduces the major contents of each chapter of the book,followed by comments on the book's distinctive features and breakthrough innovations.
