With the development of globalization, the international transcultural communication is acknowledged as a critical strategy to shape China's global influence by showcasing its rich historical heritage and humanistic spirit. There have been many discussions on the topic in domestic research. In order to outline the current comprehensive view of research on the inter-national transcultural communication of Chinese culture, this article conducts a bibliometric analysis of key domestic studies from 2000 to 2023,using the data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).The results show that:1)the deomestic research displays phased characteristics divided into initial(2000-2007),developmental(2008-2013),expan-sion(2014-2018),and transitional(2019 to present)periods;2)the studies mainly focus on four themes:the construction of cross-cultural communication mechanisms, empirical investigations centred on the dissemination of Chinese culture,compar-ative analyses of cultural communication across nations and regions, and investigations of communication media;and 3)emer-ging trends include innovative transmission methods through new media, empathetic audience research, content fusion bridging ancient and modern elements, and constructivist-based theoretical explorations. This paper argues for increased interdiscipli-nary,inter-institutional and cross-regional collaboration, more proactive roles for communicators, diversified content, expanded distribution channels, integration with new technologies, better understanding of audience psychology, and systematic evaluation of communication effects.
