Factual statements have received widespread attention from the academic community due to their close association with non-linguistic reality. However, scholars often conduct the research from the perspectives of linguistic philosophy,analyt-ical philosophy and semantics, from which the theory of reference is achieved.Angled in linguistics, this paper extends the bi-nary view of sentences(mode/modality+statement/proposition)proposed by Swiss scholars Charles Bally,E.Benveniste and Russian scholars N.D.Arutyunova,I.B.Shatunovsky.It applies the presuppositions, propositions, propositional intentions in logic, along with the existing findings in linguistics, such as sentences, statements, and communication.Aiming to correct and supplement the existing theories, the paper reveals the main characteristics of factual statements and implements the dy-namic analysis of the basic types.
