China has long emphasized textbook development but lacks a theoretical framework for textbook evaluation.The ide-a of textbook compilation is an essential component of the textbook evaluation system.The College English Series"Textbooks for Writing",published by East China Normal University Press,proposes the compiling idea of"activated writing"to guide textbook compilation.The essence of this idea is to activate the language knowledge stored in the brains of foreign language learners,enhance language awareness through writing practice,facilitate the transformation from explicit to implicit learning,gradually internalize explicit knowledge,and thereby promote the simultaneous development of language and writing abilities.Using this set of textbooks as an example,this paper evaluates how the clear compiling idea integrates textbook compilation to help users fully understand and effectively utilize this set of textbooks.Additionally,it contributes to the understanding and mastery of the theoretical framework of textbook compilation.
