Wang Ning has been a prominent scholar in the field of comparative literature and world literature in contemporary China.As one of the earliest scholars who advocate"interdisciplinary comparative literature"in the field of China's compara-tive literature,Wang has also been advocating the establishment of the"Chinese School of Comparative Literature".In the theoretical research and teaching practice of world literature,Wang Ning has consistently adopted a comparative horizon and a Chinese perspective.This paper discusses Wang's world literature studies and cross-cultural practice in the era of globaliza-tion from three aspects:from comparative literature to world literature,redefining the concept of"New World literature"in contemporary China,and the teaching of world literature.
