Waveform Comparison-based Fast Protection Scheme for Multi-terminal Distribution Network Based on Self-synchronization with Fault Moments
To eliminate the barriers to synchronized collection of electrical quantity data and address the issue of unbalanced differential current, this paper analyzes a method for protection data self-synchronization based on fault detection moments.A waveform similarity comparison based new protection criterion is established by employing multi-terminal current synthesis and Tanimoto coefficient.Based on the real-time data transmission capability of 5G network,a comprehensive and rapid protection scheme for multi-terminal distribution network is developed.Simulations with PSCAD/EMTD software show that the proposed scheme can rapidly and reliably identify fault section, matching the complex fault scenarios in the distribution network.
