Starting Method for Handling High Resistance Single-phase Grounding Faults Based on Zero Sequence Electrical Quantity Integration
Targeting the problem of low starting sensitivity of high resistance grounding fault detection in small current grounding systems, the paper proposes a startup method based on the time-domain waveform integration of zero sequence voltage and current. The electrical quantity integration characteristics of different grounding modes for an arc suppression coil grounding system and an isolated neutral system are analyzed, and the setting method of start threshold is put forward. Finally, the proposed startup method is verified by digital simulation and measured waveform. The results show that the method is not affected by neutral point displacement voltage during normal operation, can effectively recognize the high resistance grounding fault under the different grounding modes, and has high sensitivity.
