摘要
20世纪上半叶,苏格兰学者H.J.帕通对《纯粹理性批判》与《道德形而上学的奠基》的研究对当代康德学术产生了深远的影响.青年时代的帕通是不列颠理念论的代表人物,深受格林、布拉德雷与凯尔德的影响,以其"善的一贯论"反对爱德华·摩尔的直观主义元伦理学.后来,通过对康德哲学的深入研究,帕通自觉突破了原有的学派立场,转型为康德著作的释义者.他在《经验形而上学》中批评了以阿迪克斯、费英格与斯密为代表的拼凑论,为《纯粹理性批判》提出了融贯论的阐释,促进了康德哲学在英语世界的普及与接受.他在《定言命令式》中澄清了许多关于康德伦理学的传统误解,将意志立法公式视为定言命令式的最高原则,改变了传统上以普遍法则公式为核心的诠释范式,对当代康德伦理学研究产生了深远影响,催生了建构主义诠释与实在论诠释.
Abstract
In the first half of the twentieth century,the Scottish scholar H.J.Paton's study on Kritik der rein-en Vernunft and Grundlegung zur Metaphysik der Sitten had a profound impact on the contemporary study of Kantian philosophy.In his youth,Paton was a representative of British Idealism,deeply influenced by T.H.Green,F.H.Bradley and Edward Caird,and opposed G.E.Moore's intuitionistic meta-ethics with his co-herence theory of goodness.Later,through his in-depth study of Kant's philosophy,Paton consciously broke away from his original school position and transformed himself into an interpreter of Kant's writings.In his Metaphysics of Experience,he criticized the patchwork theory represented by Erich Adickes,Hans Vaihinger and Norman Kemp Smith,and proposed a consistent interpretation for Kritik der reinen Vernunft,which con-tributed to the popularization and acceptance of Kant's philosophy in the English-speaking world.He clarified many traditional misunderstandings about Kantian ethics in The Categorical Imperative,and regarded the for-mula of autonomy as the supreme principle of categorical imperatives,changing the traditional interpretive par-adigm centered on the formula of the universal law,which has had a profound impact on the contemporary study of Kantian ethics,and gives birth to constructivist and realist interpretations.
