Extension,Construction and Bearing:Literary Space and Realistic Space in Geocriticism
Berdon Westphal is the founder of the theoretical system of contemporary Western geographical criti-cism.The geographical criticism put forward by Berdon Westphal,as a novel and dynamic critical theory for spatial research, not only renders the connection between literature and geography a reality, but also broadens the new path for literary spatial research and offers the possibility for the reconstitution of real space.Addition-ally,to a certain extent,it mitigates the crisis of modernity brought about by space fission and reorganization in the post-modern context, and generates a new landscape regarding place in the process of taking place as the research object, accomplishing the new construction of"place"as the main body in terms of geographical space and meaning space.Through the perspective of landscape metaphor, this paper reinterprets the internal logic of place reconstruction from three aspects:reality and fiction,de-regionalization and re-regionalization,and literary map transformation, thereby completing the imagination, construction and identification of local i-dentity.
