Performance tests of aeolian sand mortar blocking boards reinforced by fiberglass mesh
This study investigates the enhancement effect of fiberglass mesh on the flexural behav-ior and frost resistance of aeolian sand mortar blocking boards.A series of flexural and freeze-thaw cycle tests was conducted,considering different parameters,such as the specification and number of fiberglass mesh layers and freeze-thaw cycles.Results indicate that the cracking mo-ment of aeolian sand mortar blocking plate increases with the increase in the specification and number of fiberglass mesh layers.The flexural failure of the fiberglass-reinforced aeolian sand mortar blocking plate can occur in three main forms:brittle failure,brittle failure+flexible fail-ure with single cracks,and flexible failure with multiple cracks.With the increase in freeze-thaw cycles,the failure of the reinforced plate becomes more pronounced.After 25 freeze-thaw cycles,the mass loss rate is below 5%,and the strength loss rate is below 25%,satisfying the require-ments of practical engineering applications.
