Preparation and corrosion resistance of Cu-10Ni alloy by discharge plasma sintering
In order to explore the efficient and simple preparation method of Cu-Ni alloys,Cu-10Ni alloy was prepared by spark plasma sintering technology.Corrosion morphology,composi-tion of the corrosion products,electrochemical impedance and potential polarization curve were studied by field emission scanning electron microscope,satic soaking and electrochemical work-station.The results show that SPS can prepare dense and uniform Cu-10Ni alloy.As the corro-sion time increases,corrosion products gradually increase to form a dense corrosion product pas-sivation film,which can prevent corrosive medium to further corrode Cu-10Ni alloy substrate.The corrosion product are mainly copper oxides and chloride.Combined with XRD analysis,it can be concluded that the corrosion product film is Cu2O and Cu2(OH)3Cl.The corrosion rate of the sample is large in the early stage of corrosion.With the increase of corrosion time,the capac-itive resistance arc radius in the low frequency region increases,the corrosion potential gradually increases,and the charge transfer resistance gradually increases.Therefore,the corrosion prod-uct film formed during the corrosion process is becoming thicker and denser,and its inhibitory effect on corrosion is getting stronger.
