Study on load-bearing capacity of single/double mounting connectors of shared tower
To study the influence of mount quantity on the bearing capacity and stiffness of mounting connectors, two kinds of mounting connectors with single and double mount were designed. The bearing capacity, stiffness and failure mode of mounting connectors were studied by monotonic quasi-static experiment. The influence of bolt diameter, steel pipe width, double plate thickness,anti-slip coefficient and bolt preloading force on the bearing capacity and stiffness of mounting connectors with single and double mount was analyzed by finite element software. The results show that the failure modes of mounting connectors with single and double mount are all fracture at the rib stiffener of steel pipe.Compared with the single mounting connector, the ultimate bearing capacity and initial stiffness of the double mounting connector increase by 108.48%and 104.27%respectively.The bearing capacity of the connectors can be improved by strengthening the top and bottom ends of the steel pipe. When the anti-slip coefficient is less than or equal to 0.1,the single mounting connector appears slip failure. When the anti-slip coefficient is less than or equal to 0.15,the double mounting connector appears slip failure.Under other parameters, the connector does not appear slip failure.Compared with bolt preloading force and anti-slip coefficient, bolt diameter, steel pipe width and double plate thickness have greater influence on the bearing capacity and stiffness of the connector. The deduced calculation formulas of ultimate bearing capacity and ultimate displacement of the connectors can provide reference for similar engineering design.
