Research Advances of Virus-Based Genetically Engineered Vaccines
Vaccination is considered to be one of the most effective ways to control pathogens and prevent human and animal diseases.In recent years,with the frequent occurrence of viral diseases,the limitations and potential problems of traditional vaccines,such as inactivated or attenuated live vaccines,have become increasingly apparent.Advances in genetic engineering technology have improved vaccine design and development strategies,therefore,the derivation of virus-based genetically engineered vaccines has received extensive scientific and public attention.This review sorts out the types of virus-based genetically engineered vaccines and focus on the development principles,characteristics,and applications of different vaccines.This article aims to discuss the prospects for its application and development trends,and provide a reference for the development of vaccines for emerging viral-based diseases.
