A Kind of Dicarboxylic Acid Methylimidazole Complex with Functions of Regulating Plant Growth Activity
2-methylimidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid was synthesized from o-phenylenediamine by a simple cyclisis-ring opening two-step process.A dicarboxylic acid functionalized complex[Zn(2-MtIMDC)2(H2O)2]was synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis using a ligand of 2-methylimidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid. The ligand structure was characterized by elemental analysis and IR,the thermal stability of the crystal was characterized by TG,and the crystal structure of the complex was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Results showed that this complex was orthogonal crystal system,Pbca space group,a=6.838(2)Å,b=13.897(5)Å,c=16.690(6)Å,α=β=γ=90°,V=1586.0(9)Å3,Z=4,F(000)=888.The complex was self-assembled into a two-dimensional network structure through interacting both intermolecular hydrogen bond and coordination bond. The results of plant growth regulation activity showed thatthe complex strongly promoted root growth of rapeseed seedlings at low concentrations, which effects were superior to the commercially available root-initiating agent 2,4-D.
