Dependency structure statistics of two-syllable compound nouns in Tibetan
Based on the corpus,a labeling database of Tibetan bisyllabic compound nouns was constructed in the present thesis.Besides, the types of dependency structures of Tibetan bisyllabic compound nouns and their distribution patterns were explored in combination with the theory of dependency grammar and statistical methods. It had been found that definite-medium and parallelism were the most common structural types of Tibetan bisyllabic compound nouns, and the high frequency of definite-medium relationships in particular highlights the importance of noun modification in Tibetan.Additionally, the high frequency of object-verb,subject-predicate,and gerund-medium relations were also common constructions in Tibetan. The study also found that the construction mechanism of Tibetan bisyllabic compound nouns was influenced by grammatical auxiliaries, and the coverage rate of karma, subordinate, temporal, and Üg relations in the word list was 3.28%,which reflected the tendency of Tibetan to pursue linguistic economy and simplify expression. This study will help to deepen the understanding of the linguistic structure of Tibetan, reveals the cognitive mechanism and grammatical features of conceptual expression of the Tibetan people in the language, and provides normative, basic and effective data support for the construction of the lexicographic system of Tibetan.
