Study on the Impact of Digital Economy Development on Farmers'Income in the Yellow River Basin
Based on the data from 2011 to 2022 of 100 prefecture-level cities in the Yellow River Basin, this pa-per empirically explores the impact of digital economy development on farmers'income. The research indicates that the development of the digital economy has a significant positive impact on rural residents'income, and this conclu-sion remains valid after robustness tests such as varying sample sizes and double-sided winsorization. The regional heterogeneity analysis reveals that the promotional effect of digital economy development on farmers'income in the Yellow River Basin gradually decreases from the downstream, midstream to upstream regions. The dimensional het-erogeneity analysis discovers that the internet development has a more significant enhancement effect. The urbaniza-tion level heterogeneity analysis shows that regions with a higher level of urbanization exhibit a greater promotional effect.Furthermore, the heterogeneity analysis of economic development levels also indicates that areas with a higher level of economic development demonstrate a larger promotional impact.Based on these findings, countermeasures and suggestions are proposed, including strengthening rural digital economy infrastructure, implementing regionally differentiated strategies, and enhancing farmers'participation capabilities.
