Diversity analysis of quality characters of Helianthus tuberosus Linn from different sources
[Objective] This study investigated the differences in germplasm resources nutrients between Helianthus tuberosus Linn from different sources to provide basis for its function product development.[Method] The tuber dry matter and main quality traits (soluble sugar, fructan, protein, crude fiber, flavonoids, and starch content) of Helianthus tuberosus Linn resources including 14 from France,11 from Denmark and 4 from China were measured and correlation analysis between them was conducted to analyze the genetic diversity.[Result] There were abundant variations in quality of Helianthus tuberosus Linn resources and flavonoid content had the maximum variation coefficient.Multivariate principal component analysis showed that the first four principal component (fructan, soluble sugar, protein, and flavonoids) accounted for 86.073 1% of the quality diversity.Correlation analysis showed that dry matter had extremely significant positive correlation with flavonoids and fructosaccharide, and significant positive correlation with color.Contents of flavonoids and fructan were positively correlated with the color.Protein content was significantly and negatively correlated with crude fiber content.Based on the clustering results, the 29 of Helianthus tuberosus Linn clusters were divided into three groups, and soluble sugar had the highest content, followed by fruit sugar.Combining clustering and principal component analysis,it was found that fructan and soluble sugar content were two main factors determining the quality traits of Helianthus tuberosus Linn.[Conclusion] The differences in resources tuber nutrient composition of 29 Helianthus tuberosus Linn from different sources were determined and specific Helianthus tuberosus Linn germplasm resources were selected.
